Task description and requirements

We are currently seeking an NLP Engineer (m/f/d) on behalf of a client.


The project will be conducted remotely, with an average workload of 75%.


The team is going to develop a LLM based DataMorph Proof of

Concept that is to transform unstructured data input via chatbot including additional

file uploads such as PDF and Excel into structured (tabular) data output. The project

is with one of our automotive OEM clients. If the PoC is successful a project extension is possible.


Key responsibilities include:

+ Development of an LLM-based DataMorph Proof of Concept (PoC)

+ Analysis of the existing data landscape and unstructured data sources, including chatbot logs, PDF documents, and Excel uploads provided via Daimler’s Azure Cloud

+ Evaluation and identification of potential gaps in data quality

+ Definition of the specific business case and use cases for the PoC in collaboration with the end customer

+ Transformation of unstructured data into structured data formats (e.g., tabular outputs)

+ Development of a dashboard for data visualization and presentation

+ Creation of an implementation concept

+ Preparation of comprehensive technical documentation

Anforderungen:

MUST:

+ Extensive knowledge generative AI, NLP and LLMs

+ Experience in applying common tools and methods for handling NLP usecases such as RAG, Agents, OpenAI Models

+ Experience in productive use of NLP frameworks

+ Knowledge of, and ideally hands-on experience with, state-of-the-art approaches such as agents, prompt engineering, open-source models, multimodal approaches, data/file processing for LLMs, structured outputs with LLMs, etc.

+ Knowledge in data processing of various data formats (xlsx, xls, pptx, pdf, ...) to be digested by GenAI workflow. Ability to write clean, performant, and extensible code and get it into production

+ Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with software engineers, and product managers to deliver NLP solutions

+ Strong communicator with very good English skills (at least C1 level) and be able to prepare and present complex issues in a way that is appropriate for the respective target group (business, tech). German Language skills are a plus.


NICE:

+ Additionally helpful, but not required, are skills in the areas of

backend engineering (FastAPI), infrastructure (Azure) and multiple years of experience in the field of NL and data processing
