Personal summary

I am a Research Associate in cancer sciences in a university environment, with over 6 years of experience including PhD study. Through this experience I have skills in teaching students on complex subject material, both in a laboratory setting and through more formal tutorial/lecture-based formats. I have extensive experience in writing for publication, with a number of first author publications in peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, I am regularly writing applications for grant funding, through which I have obtained >£50,000 of independent funding during the past 3 years. In addition, I have extensive experience with editing manuscripts for publication ahead of peer review, through MDPI publishing house as an editor and through various private clients through such freelancing websites as upwork.com. Together, I have a wealth of experience in editing, writing and teaching. As a freelancer, I am looking to undertake work in any of these fields, particularly in medical/scientific fields, although I have editing/writing experience from wider subject areas through MDPI. Regarding teaching, I have taught students at a range of levels, from high school through to PhD level; I am willing to undertake tutoring work for any of these levels. I am an attention-focused worker and keen to meet the needs of clients, including their deadlines. I am happy to discuss projects and associated fees.
