Task description and requirements

For our customer in Lower-Saxony we are seeking for a PLM Architect (m/f/d) - remote

Your Tasks:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments (development, production, procurement, service, etc.) to define and streamline the obsolescence management process
- Develop and implement strategies within Teamcenter and SAP to effectively manage the lifecycle of materials towards obsolescence
- Ensure alignment of processes and tools, including integration with external tools like "Silicon Expert," to facilitate seamless management of obsolete materials
- Establish methods and processes for identifying alternative parts for different components within our product portfolio
- Define and manage information related to alternate and preferred parts within Teamcenter and SAP
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate documentation and implementation of alternate part strategies
- Enhance vendor part management capabilities by implementing robust processes and tools within Teamcenter and SAP
- Define and manage vendor information, vendor parts, and their lifecycle within the PLM system
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure proper integration of vendor part management processes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external PLM service providers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams in utilizing PLM tools effectively and efficiently
- Evaluating and implementing new PLM functionalities and enhancements to meet evolving business needs

Your Qualifications:
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining PLM systems, particularly Teamcenter and SAP integration
- Deep understanding of PLM processes and best practices, with specific expertise in obsolescence management, alternate part identification, and vendor part management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in working with external PLM service providers and managing vendor relationships is highly desirable
- Certification in relevant PLM technologies (e.g., Teamcenter) is a plus
