Personal summary

My experience is as an editor and subeditor at a variety of publications and outlets including Reuters, AFX, Wall Street Journal and more recently data specialist Reorg. I’ve worked in financial editing since 2005 at AFX, Reuters and more recently a small but fast-growing financial research company called Reorg. I left my role at Reorg after setting up and operating the financial editing side of the ‘start-up’ operation. I also have experience across a range of sectors including news, sports, travel and features. During my career as an editor across all sectors, I’ve tried to make impenetrable raw copy readable, grammatical and entertaining. I am a team player and good at bridging the gap between writers and editors. I also know how to work with specialists, such as analysts, medical professionals and lawyers for instance, to ensure their message is relayed effectively without treading on anyone’s toes. I’ve managed staff, freelancers, third-party contributors and I’m pretty low maintenance at work.
