Personal summary

James is a Screenwriter, Writer and Teacher who, in 2007, completed the prestigious MA in Creative Writing: Prose (with scholarship) at the University of East Anglia, and also achieved a First Class Degree in English and Creative Writing from Aberystwyth University. In August 2023, he was selected to take part in a Sundance Collab and Torino Film Festival’s TFL NEXT TV Series Lab 2023, to develop his TV series Finding Joy, a dramedy which explores themes such as age, sex, race and class in post-Brexit UK; while in summer 2022, he wrote a short film (Home, which was officially selected for the 2023 British Urban Film Festival and for The Best Film Awards 2023 in two categories: ‘Best Short Film Award’ and ‘Best Indie Film Award’, as well as the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival).
