My name is Ian. I’m based in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England, and I’ve spent the better part of my career building things, breaking things, and occasionally getting it spectacularly wrong. I wouldn’t have it any other way. But the internet wasn’t where I started. Long before domains and dashboards, I was knee-deep in the real world of business. I owned a 560-tonne ship with my brother in law. I ran hotels, pubs, two restaurants, a nightclub, and a takeaway called Roasters. At 24, I was Company Secretary of South Coast Hotels. Glamorous? Sometimes. Brutal? Absolutely.
